Troop proceeds calculator

Most councils pay the troop a set amount on every package, and the amount depends on the troop's per-girl average (PGA): total packages sold divided by the girls selling. Cross into the next tier and every package earns more.

Troop proceeds, about

$1,012

1,350 packages ÷ 9 girls = a per-girl average of 150, which pays $0.75 a package. Early-bird troops earn $0.80 at this level.

1,359 more packages (151 a girl) reach $0.80 a package.

How it is worked out

  1. Per-girl average = packages sold ÷ girls selling.
  2. Find the tier that average falls in on your council's proceeds table.
  3. Troop proceeds = that tier's rate × every package sold (not only the ones above the tier line).

Councils differ, and some pay a little more for early orders or when an older troop opts out of girl rewards. Your council's guide and its statement are the official numbers.
